PREPARING FOR YOUR UPCOMING EYELASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT

When you arrive for your upcoming appointment you will have a full consultation with your stylist but there are a few things to know ahead of time to ensure the best out come!

Early Arrival!

We encourage you to show up 10-15 min early for your first lash service to fill out paper work without stealing time from your lashes!

Avoiding caffeine is important!

We make sure to create a very comfortable environment for our clients during appointments. For Eyelash extensions specifically you will be laying down for the duration of your appointment. It is important for not only your body to be still but more importantly your eyes and caffeine can make this very difficult .

Come to your appointment prepared to relax, you can even prepare yourself with a podcast or music you enjoy to listen to. You may also silence your phone.

Avoid to much talking!

We love all of our clients and want to get to know all about you but a lash appointment is not a great time to chat to much. To much facial movement can cause your eyes to flutter or move which makes it very difficult for your stylist to apply the individual lashes. This can also cause unnecessary irritation do to your eyes moving or not closing completely.

Show up with a clean face!

No make up is the best way to show up for your lash appointment. The more time we spend cleaning off makeup the less time that is spent on applying lashes. Having your stylist remove make up before a set can also cause irritation to the eye as well as cause a retention problem. Avoiding eye creams or facial products close to the eye can help to avoid irritation as well.

Contacts or glasses?

If you wear contacts on a regular basis it can be more comfortable to wear them the day of service because your eye is use to having that extra protective layer. This is not nessacary and personal preference is taking when making this decision. You can use eye drops following your service is needed!

Avoid Eye makeup for 24 hours!

If this is your first time having your lashes done it is smart to avoid introducing any other ingredients such as facial products or cosmetics for 24 hours. This is to ensure that if you are to have a reaction it is not to the mixture of products. It is not often that we see a reaction to eyelashes but with any cosmetic product there is always a possibility.

If you are allergic to Medical Grade adhesive please DO NOT book a lash appointment!!!

Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.

Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.

FAQ Eyelash Extensions

CAN I GET MY LASHES WET?

The answer is essentially YES! Your lashes are waterproof upon leaving your appointment although we do ask you to keep your lashes clean and dry after leaving your appointment incase of any cross contamination that could cause sensitivity or reaction. Avoid using make up or cleansers till the following day or 24 Hrs.

WILL EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASH?

This is the most common question we get asked. The answer is No but only when lashes are done correctly. We can only speak for our technique and stylist but at Body Beautiful we are focused on long term results. We do not over extend the natural lashes or bond anything to your skin or more then one hair. Applying eyelash extensions correctly ensures that you can enjoy this service for years to come without experienceing any damage. Some of our clients have been with us for over 10 years and have never removed their lashes.

WHAT IS THE ADHESIVE MADE OF ?

All eyelash extensions adhesives are made from a medical grade adhesive that is formulated specifically for this service. The brand of adhesive we chose to use on each client can vary based off personal needs such as sensitivity. WHAT ARE THE EXTENSIONS MADE OF ?

We use only the highest quality eyelash extensions. Most Eyelash extension are now made of a synthetic fiber also known as synthetic mink, high quality silk or PBT Fiber.

WHY DO I NEED TOUCH UPS & HOW OFTEN SHOULD I COME?

Eyelash extensions require Touch-ups because your lashes grow. We apply each individual extension to your individual lash in order to allow your lashes to grow at their normal rate and never cause damage .

As for frequency of touch -ups, this is determined by your growth cycle as well as personal care. Following proper after care instructions and using only recommended products by your stylist will ensure the best retention. Generally touch-ups are done around 4 weeks but some clients do prefer to be in a week sooner or later!
